Clear + Brilliant

A gentle fractional laser for dull, uneven skin,
with little downtime.

What Is
Clear + Brilliant?

Clear + Brilliant is a gentle, non-ablative fractional laser for dullness, uneven tone, rough texture and the early signs of sun damage and aging, with little to no downtime. It works like a lighter Fraxel, treating microscopic zones in the upper layers of the skin and leaving the skin around them intact, which prompts renewal and new collagen.

Who It’s For

Skin that needs a refresh more than a correction.

Ideal For

Dullness, uneven tone, rough texture and enlarged looking pores, early sun damage, and pigmentation around the eyes in the right candidate, on the face, neck and chest. It suits people who want to keep their skin in good shape with little downtime. See all our lasers and devices.

When to Wait

If you have melasma or rosacea, a heat based laser may not be right. We treat those with skincare first and choose more cautiously. We wait while acne is active. A laser only works alongside a skincare routine that matches it, so that comes first.

Clear + Brilliant or Fraxel?

Clear + Brilliant is the lighter laser in the same family as Fraxel: gentler, with less downtime and lighter results over a series. For deeper sun damage, brown spots and texture, Fraxel Dual does more in fewer sessions. For deep acne scars, your doctor may suggest CO2 laser resurfacing. Compare Clear + Brilliant, Fraxel and microneedling for texture and pores.

The Treatment

1

Plan Your
Series

A plan starts with your skin and your routine. Your doctor checks for melasma or rosacea and sets up the skincare that has to work alongside the laser.

2

A Gentle
Session

Numbing cream may be applied first. Your doctor chooses the 1440 nm handpiece, the 1927 nm Perméa handpiece, or both. Each treats microscopic zones in the upper layers of the skin.

3

Softer Within
a Week or Two

Redness and swelling usually settle within a day. Skin starts to feel softer and look brighter within a week or two, and the improvement builds over a series of sessions.

Beneath the Surface

How Clear + Brilliant works, in four stepsA cross section of skin with a dull, uneven surface, and a magnified circle on the upper layers of the skin, cell by cell. Step 1: dullness, uneven tone, rough texture and the early signs of sun damage and aging. Step 2: a gentle laser handpiece rolls across the skin and treats tiny, shallow zones in the upper layers, shown in yellow, leaving the skin around them intact. Step 3: the treated zones renew, the dull surface cells lift away and brief redness settles. Step 4: the skin looks brighter and more even, and the improvement builds over a series of sessions.

Step 1 of 4: Skin that needs refreshing

Clear + Brilliant is for dullness, uneven tone, rough texture and the early signs of sun damage and aging: skin that needs refreshing more than correcting.

Step 2 of 4: A lighter Fraxel

It works like a lighter Fraxel, treating microscopic zones in the upper layers of the skin and leaving the skin around them intact. Your doctor chooses the 1440 nm handpiece, the 1927 nm Perméa, or both.

Step 3 of 4: Quick renewal

The treated zones prompt renewal and new collagen. Redness and swelling usually settle within a day, and your skin starts to feel softer and look brighter within a week or two.

Step 4 of 4: Built over a series

The improvement builds over a series of sessions and keeps your skin in good shape with little downtime. Results last months, depending on your skin and sun protection.

Often paired with: Fraxel Dual, Vbeam and Microneedling.

“Clear + Brilliant is how I keep good skin in good shape. With melasma or rosacea, I calm the skin with skincare first.”
